James Oscar McCarver, born May 15, 1924 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2012. Jim was a graduate of the University of Texas school of Law in 1953 with the highest honors and was a Certified Public Accountant. He was trained as a B17 pilot during World War II. At the time of his death, Jim was President and CEO of Parkwood Properties, a Florida Corporation. Jim was also the founder and president of Friend of the Fatherless Foundation, established for the care of orphans in many countries. He also did much to support the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jim was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Pat McCarver, son, Grover McCarver, daughter, Cindy McCarver, and his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Doug Cassady. He is also survived by his four grandchildren- Taylor Kelley, Amber Cassady, Lauren Kelley, and Colton Cassady. Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Melina Kelley.
