Ima Jean McCauley Womack was born on 10/19/1940 in Nacogdoches, TX and passed away on Thursday, April 26th 2012 in Austin, TX.
Preceded in death by mother, Rosa Lee Reed McCauley of Lufkin and father, Jack M. McCauley of Splendora, Tx.
Survived by loving husband of 50 years, Danny Morris Womack: sons; John M. Womack and wife, Sharon of Lago Vista, Tx; Matthew J. Womack and wife, April, of Lakeway, Tx; Jeff Womack of Lake Whitney; grandchildren, Maddie Grace Womack, Abigail Womack, Olivia Womack, Natalie Womack, and Caleb Womack: and brother, Jack McCauley of Lancaster, TX.
Ima (aka Gran) was the most amazing wife, mother, friend and Gran. She fought cancer for 15 years and did it with strength, grace and love that most people donʼt have on their best day. She tried to be a mother to everyone she met and had a heart of gold.
Gran lived to spend time with her grandkids, family and friends. While they all brought such joy to her, it doesn't compare to the joy she brought to other's lives.
The family would like to Thank Dr. Balijepalli Netaji and all of his staff for their heartfelt treatment. Your fine work gave us all extra time with someone we love dearly.
We will miss her dearly but so happy she is whole again and not in pain.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Austin.
A memorial service and celebration will be held Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish located at 411 Ranch Rd. 620 S., Lakeway, Texas 78734.
