Gregory Alan Spence, age 50, of Austin passed away on June 24, 2012. He was born on August 5, 1961 in Houston, Texas.
Greg graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Oklahoma and worked as a stock broker for many years in Austin.
Greg loved his friends, gourmet cooking, travel and dogs. He volunteered as a firefighter and for many years was instrumental in site-setup for the Laguna Gloria Fiesta. Greg enjoyed outdoor activities including camping, hunting and water skiing. Greg's keen sense for debate will be missed by his friends and family.
Greg is survived by his mother, Betty Spence and two sisters, Lori Galloway and Jennifer Blount of Austin. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Spence.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar.
