Esther Ruth Creel Dodgen, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Arlington June 13, 2012.

Esther was born October 2, 1921, the third child of Chester and Ruth Creel in McDade, Tx. She and Weldon C. Dodgen, were married in May 1940 and moved to Austin, where they raised their family. She was an avid antique collector and enjoyed watching the Astros and Texas Rangers.

Graveside Service: Saturday June 16, 2012 at 12:30PM at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin with the Reverend Mark Gardner performing the service.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Weldon; son Weldon "Joe" H. Dodgen, daughter Jennifer Ringstaff .

Survivors: Son, John H. Dodgen and wife Paulette; Son-in law James Ringstaff II; Grandson James Ringstaff III and wife Ashley, Granddaughter Staci Kearney and husband John; Grandson Jeffrey Dodgen and wife Monica; Great-grandsons Jason and Luke Ringstaff; Jacob and Johnathan Dodgen; Brayden and Brian Ratliff; and many nieces and nephews.
