Bonnie Mae Bell Smith, 97, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, March 26, 2012. She was born in Lexington in Lee County to Willie Hampton Bell and Lottie Morrison Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Floyd Samuel Smith. Bonnie was one of eleven children, seven brothers and three sisters, all preceded her in death.

When she was told Jesus loved her and was He waiting for her, she said she loved HIM and that was good news. Bonnie was a lovely daughter, wife, mother and friend. She always loved playing cards and dominoes with her friends and family.
