Obituary

Our Beloved William D. Hudnall (Hud) passed away Friday, June 23, 2017. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri on July 17, 1938. William is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, three brothers, one sister and daughter Debbie.

William is survived by his loving and caring wife Gladys (Sam) of 17 years; sons, Scott Hudnall, Todd Hudnall and Rick Appelt; daughters, Rhonda Crabtree, Michelle Hudnall and Dollie Lockley Molgaard; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vicki Hart.

William joined the USAF in 1955 with an impeccable service record of 20 years and retired in 1975 as Master Sergeant. After his Military career he spent another 25 years in the Automobile Industry and fully retired in 2002. William loved to fish, grill, drink his favorite beer and scotch, and also loved listening to country music (Merle Haggard was his favorite).

In 2009, after suffering 3 strokes, he never gave up and always kept his sense of humor no matter what he was going through and had to overcome. He made everyone laugh and was full of wisdom and courage. He believed in telling it like it was and he always said "Don't beat around the bush". Through it all he NEVER failed to say I love You! His sweet loving companion Marti was always by his side while his wife was at work, they were inseparable.

William, (Hud), Husband, Dad, PoPo, Mentor, Friend will be missed so much and Always loved by his family and friends. "God gives his toughest Battles to his strongest Soldiers and he fought a great battle and his final mission came today."
