Veniece Sidor Stewart passed away on August 27, 2017 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia, after an extended illness. She formed the loving center of an extended family and was a devoted and loyal friend to many. Veniece spread her joy and happiness to all who knew her in life, and her kindness, thoughtfulness and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives.

Veniece was born January 14, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to John and Rose Sidor. She was the youngest child of a family that included a brother Andrew John and a sister, Anna (Carmody).

Veniece attended Ursuline Academy in Dallas and the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor's of Business Administration in 1962. After graduation she worked for Dresser Industries in Dallas. In 1966, she married Johnnie Stewart, and they enjoyed a loving marriage of 51 years. She and Johnnie moved to Santa Clara, California where he was transferred with Texas Instruments. There she worked for Microwave Associates and they raised their son, David. In 1981, they returned to Texas and settled in Austin and later in Lakeway on Lake Travis.

In Texas, Veniece worked for H & R Block assisting with income tax returns and with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) assisting those affected by natural disasters. Veniece's kindness and giving spirit was felt by all those she helped. In retirement, Johnnie and Veniece split their time between Austin, Texas and Woodstock, Virginia, where their son David and his family had settled.

Veniece was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy.
