Obituary

Lee Fong Fong (Trix Lee) aged 70 of Austin Texas died quietly on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Seton Medical Center Austin. She died due to complications from a sudden stroke.

Trix was born on September 4, 1947 to Ming-Shan Lee and Wen-Shan Lee in Ningbo, Shanghai, China. She grew up in Taipei Taiwan after the family fled mainland China to escape the communist takeover. She received her Bachelors degree from Taiwan Normal University, and her Masters degree from the Eastern Kentucky University. Trix was first married to Harry Chen and together they had a son David (Davy) Lee Chen. She retired from the State of Texas after 25 years of service as a highly skilled information technologist. In April 2004 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She endured two years of chemotherapy and radiation treatment and was cancer free at the time of her death

Trix loved cooking, organic gardening, travel, sewing and holistic living and she shared this with everyone she knew. Her greatest pleasure came with preparing a meal for her friends that include her home grown vegetables and herbs. She was always helping friends with their gardening problems seemingly bringing plants back from the dead.

Trix is survived by her husband, Mark Reddert, father Ming-Shan Lee, mother Wen-Shan Lee, sisters Ling Ling, Rong Rong (Beatrice) and Jy Jy (Cecily), nephew Tristan, cousins Wey Yi and Wey Guy. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Davy.

A Memorial service will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar Blvd., Austin Texas 78705. The service will be conducted by Reverend Elizabeth Boone McLean of the First Presbyterian Church of Austin.
