Obituary

Travis Garrett Jones, of Spicewood, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 1, 2018. He was born October 17, 1986 in Austin, the son of Thomas and Debbie (East) Jones. He attended Lake Travis schools and graduated from Lake Travis High School in 2005. He then attended Texas Tech University, before returning home to become partner of Jones Heating and Air Conditioning.

In his younger years, Travis' days were filled with adventure - riding bikes, camping out, hanging at the lake, and playing multiple sports, including soccer, basketball and baseball. He accumulated many of his lifelong friendships on those ball fields, and multiple accolades. In fact, Travis was the first fifth-grader to hit an out of the park home run at Drysdale Field. Travis loved to be outdoors, but his favorite destinations were the mountains and the beach. He was an avid snowboarder, enjoyed wakeboarding and surfing, and anything that involved his two huskies, Django and Zoey. He was also a fan of Mixed Martial Arts, Texas Tech football, and collecting and fixing up his trucks and Jeeps. He was as hard-working as he was fun-loving, helping his father grow the family business, it was clear that he was proud of his work. We will always remember his goofy side, his selflessness, and his kind heart.

Travis is lovingly remembered by his parents Thomas and Debbie of Spicewood, and his sister Amanda of Dallas. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Helen Morris Jones of Llano. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Barbara (Beasley) East, and his paternal grandfather, William Jones. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins, and countless friends who were as close as family.

Travis had so much more to give to this world, and he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was a young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson, and friend.

Travis' family will celebrate his life on Sunday, May 6 with a memorial service at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception until 4:00pm, at the Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Event Center in Lakeway.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to a charity or cause that is important to you, so we can continue to send Travis' generous and selfless spirit back out to the world.
