Obituary

Thomas Lawrence Luth, 66, of Austin, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2018.

He was born on January 15, 1952, to Lawrence B. Luth and Elaine Rauert (Kalkowski) Luth in Grand Island, Nebraska. Tom grew up on a farm, the oldest son in a large, loving family. As early as age 5, his father took him to construction jobsites, where he learned both the highest quality skills and to LOVE your work. This led to Tom's career as a successful 3rd generation, award-winning builder. He attended Grand Island High School, earned a wrestling scholarship with Wayne State College, then wrestled at and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BS in Construction Science.

Tom being such a lover of sports, took any opportunity to inspire athleticism in his children. With his daughters, it was softball and volleyball and his sons, it was wrestling and flag football. His grandson Aston also has started wrestling classes (Tom's all-time favorite sport).

Tom, the founder of Outland Construction Co. Inc, Absolute Air Quality, LLC and AAQ Consulting, LLC, became a giant in the construction industry. He won numerous awards for both his designs and quality of his craft since 1981.

His construction abilities were undeniable, the quality of his workman ship was unsurpassed and respected by all. Tom became a leader in his industry and was sought out for his construction expertise which led to the birth of AAQ Consulting, a leading construction consulting firm.

As he grew in his faith in Christ Jesus, God led him into men's and children's ministry at Hill Country Bible Church and in his everyday life. Through his ministry he advocated for family, relationships, and the importance to walk with God.

Tom was a real man's man and will be greatly missed.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elaine Luth and sister, Jill Luth. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Anderson-Luth of Austin; daughters, Jessica Colt Luth & partner Jason Ramirez of Austin, Colby McKensie Luth of Blue Springs, MO, Alexandra Dee Luth of Austin; and sons, Johnny Harward Anderson of Dallas and Matthew Navis Anderson of Dallas; grandson, Aston Carter Ramirez; brothers and sisters, Penny Stumpenhorst, Jerry Luth, Jody Luth and wife Becky Smith, Jack Luth and wife Janice, Paula Porsch and husband Clay; Sister-in-law, Kim Ostler and husband Wayne; nieces and nephews Lindsay Luth, Brian Luth, Spencer Porsch, Elliot Porsch, Ruby Smith, Baylie Burke and husband Adam, Bryton Ostler; previous wife Jackie OHickey; Nancy's parents Gary and Linda Harward; and many extended family and close friends.
