Obituary for Thomas Bennett Siddons

April 26, 1968 - January 9, 2019
Lakeway, Texas | Age 50

Thomas Bennett Siddons, a lifelong resident of Lakeway, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019, at the age of 50.

Tom was born in Austin, Texas on April 26, 1968 to Robert and Bonnie Siddons. He was a proud graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute and maintained lifelong friendships from his time there and thereafter.

Tom was married to Jaqueline "Jackie" Schmidt Siddons on December 17, 1994. Tom and Jackie met and fell in love while working one summer at the Lakeway Inn. Raising their three sons together gave them the biggest joy of their lives.

Tom worked as a realtor for Keller Williams Realty in his beloved Lakeway at the time of his passing. He felt just as much at home, if not more, at the family ranch in South Texas. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, equally happy on a tractor as he was in a deer blind. He had a true passion for Cavalier football and loved the Texas Longhorns. He had a wry sense of humor. Many of Tom's family and friends often found themselves on the receiving end of a prank. Tom's joy for life and his love of laughter was contagious. All who knew Tom were better for it.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Jackie and their three sons, Hunter Thomas, John Robert, and Michael Bennett Siddons. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Bonnie Siddons, as well as his brothers, James Franklin Siddons and his wife Haley, Benjamin Alexander Siddons and his wife Katy, and Samuel Gordon Siddons and his wife Courtney, along with their families. He was also cherished by Jackie's parents, Tom and JoAnne Schmidt and her brother, John Thomas Schmidt III. Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Franklin Siddons Jr. and Bettye Banner Siddons and R. Gordon Bennett and Camilla S. Bennett.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Lake Travis United Methodist Church (1502 RR 620 N, Lakeway, TX 78734). Scott Heare, Senior Pastor of Lake Travis United Methodist Church, will officiate. Following the service, there will be a reception at the church.
