Sue was born in Plainview, Texas on September 10, 1929, the only child of Frank and Mary Anderson. The family moved to Wellington, Texas where she grew up, graduating from Wellington High School in 1947.
She attended Southern Methodist University, graduating in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
She and Jimmie were married in the University Park Methodist Church in 1955. During her working career she was the Public Relations Director in Dallas Texas, a news reporter on the Tyler, Texas newspaper, did publicity work for the Bakersfield, California Board of Realtors and did free lance publicity for various institutions.
She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church where she always sang in the choir.
After moving to Pasadena, California she became what Jim referred to as a "Professional Volunteer", accumulating thousands of volunteer hours at the Huntington Hospital.
When they moved to Lakeway, Texas she continued her volunteer ways accumulating thousands of volunteer hours at St. David's Hospital. She served on several Boards of Directors in the Lakeway and Austin area.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen and is survived by her husband Jim.
She has resided in the Health Care Center at Longhorn Village since moving there in 2010. Many thanks to all the caring people from the Memory Care Unit, Casa Mesquite and Heart to Heart Hospice who have provided for her care.
