Obituary

Rayward Williamson, 77, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1940 in Leander, Texas, to Clarence Morgan Williamson and Ida Mae Maynard Williamson.

Rayward served his country in the U.S. Army for 9 years, serving in Korea and Vietnam, followed by a year in the National Guard at Camp Mabry.

He was an entrepreneur. Rayward loved being outdoors in nature, but most of all enjoyed being a family man. He was a member of the Assembly of God .

Rayward is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra Belcher Williamson, they were married on October 6, 1961 in Lawton, Oklahoma; daughter, Tina and (Darin) Linder; son, Rayward Williamson, Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Angela (Brandon) Thomas, Crystal Chapman, Amber (Ricky) Rowe, Amanda Michelle Williamson, and Rayward (Trey) Williamson, III; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Arva Mae Van Houten; brothers Harold Williamson and Carol Ray Williamson. Rayward was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Gina Rae Williamson; and two brothers, Charles and Wenferd.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish North Lamar Chapel. Interment will follow at Nameless Cemetery near Jonestown.
