Obituary for Mitchell R. Perales

March 20, 1961 - July 14, 2017
Del Valle, Texas | Age 56

We mourn the loss of our brother, Mitchell R. Perales, who entered heaven with his beloved mother, Phyllis Garza Perales, on July 14, 2017. He was born on March 20, 1961 in Austin, TX to Phyllis and Jesse Perales. He was a loyal son and kind soul who loved his family. His love of music started in the Travis HS band where he played the trombone and met many lifetime friends. Mitchell attended Central TX College where he studied business. He was self-taught and mastered the keyboard, electric recorder and arranged many compositions serving as Choir Director for San Jose Parish. His varied interests spanned from pop culture trivia to Sci-fi movies and books, as well as classical music. He worked as a cabinet maker with his father helping his parents whenever they needed him. He always loved comedy and a good joke. His friends would describe Mitchell as faithful, kind, sweet and gentle. We will miss you, our brother, and love you forever.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bonifacia Garza Sendejo; his paternal grandmother, Sarah Moreno Sanchez.

Mitch is survived by his loving father, Jesse Moreno Perales; his sisters, Bonnie Perales Manchester (Lloyd Manchester), Dianna Perales Harris (Earnest Harris), Anita Perales Reesman and Amy Perales Acuna (David Acuna); 8 nieces and nephews that brought great joy to his life.
