Maurice McCain Kirkpatrick passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018. The love of his life, Nora Leila (Lee) Nolen Kirkpatrick followed him to his eternal reward on March 27, 2018. Both were surrounded by the family that they deeply loved.

Maurice was born to Arthur Maurice and Lillian Dunkerley Kirkpatrick on October 11, 1934 in Dallas, Texas.

Lee was born to Lt. Col. Neil Dean and Georgia Spencer Nolen on August 5, 1935 in Alexander City, Alabama.

Maurice and Lee met while attending Auburn University and were married on November 9, 1957 in Alexander City, Alabama. Maurice enjoyed a life long career in the business forms manufacturing industry and established Falcon Business Forms in Corsicana, Texas in the spring of 1970 and retired in 1998 after the business was sold. Both Maurice and Lee were active in their community, participating in numerous civic organizations as well as their church. Lee remained a devoted wife and mother to their three sons.

Both enjoyed the social aspects of every community in which they lived. Maurice was an avid golfer and the couple moved to Barton Creek Lakeside in Spicewood, Texas after he retired. Maurice and Lee were both quick witted and gracious, touching many people while making many life-long friends. They will be remembered as caring individuals who accepted people at face value and cherished the opportunity to enjoy people from all walks of life.

They are survived by their sons; Neil Kirkpatrick and wife Silvia of Sugar Land, Texas, Steve Kirkpatrick and wife Peggy of Corsicana, Texas and Greg Kirkpatrick and wife Nancy of Sherman, Texas. The grandchildren that adored them are: Brian Kirkpatrick and wife Caroline of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dean Kirkpatrick of Los Angeles, California, Kelly Davis and husband Matt of Plano, Texas, Hank and Julia Kirkpatrick of Dallas, Texas, Lindsay Kirkpatrick of McKinney, Texas, Emily Kirkpatrick of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Rebecca Kirkpatrick of Galveston, Texas.

Maurice is survived by a brother, George Kirkpatrick and wife Penny of Madison, Mississippi and sister, Kaye Kirkpatrick of Austin, Texas.

Lee is survived by her sisters, Lila Meeks of Beaufort, South Carolina, Deanna Lawley and her husband Barnett of Pell City, Alabama and Kaye Moore of Atlanta, Georgia.

They are preceded in death by their parents and first grandchild, Stephanie Kirkpatrick.

The family would like to thank the staff of Querencia at Barton Creek and Halcyon Home Hospice for the loving support and care that they showed Maurice and Lee in the last months of their lives.

There will be a Memorial Mass and celebration of these amazing lives on April 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church at 5455 Bee Cave Road, Austin, Texas. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date.

Pursuant to their wishes, memorial contributions may be made to The Monarch School, 2815 Rosefield Drive, Houston, Texas 77080.

It is fitting that this couple that passed through this life together, passed from this life together as well.
