Obituary

On May 24, Mark C. Tuite died in Manchaca, TX, where he was a resident of Marbridge, a community for adults with intellectual disabilities. The cause was complications from cancer. He was 67.

Mark was known for his captivating smile, love of family and friends, passion for sports, strong work ethic, and intense religious devotion. Born and raised in Dallas, Mark lived for more than 25 years at Marbridge, just south of Austin. Throughout his life, Mark remained fiercely loyal to Dallas's sports teams, especially the Cowboys, Mavericks, and Rangers. After moving to the Austin area, he also became a UT Longhorns fan. Mark was a Special Olympics competitor and took great pride in his individual and team accomplishments.

Mark is survived by his sister, Jean F. Tuite of Austin; his brother, Dennis M. Tuite of Charlotte, NC; and his brother, James P. Tuite of Washington DC.

There will be a funeral mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, 10,000 David Moore Dr., Austin, TX 78748 at 3:00 pm May 31 and a burial service at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX at 1:00 pm, June 1.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's name to the Marbridge Foundation and to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.
