Obituary

Lynn McMahon of Lakeway, Texas, passed away July 31st, 2018, after a brief illness. Lynn was born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 19, 1941 to William and Dorothy Meehan. She attended Fontbonne Hall Academy and received her associate's degree from Grace Downs Secretarial School.

Lynn met Patrick McMahon in Brooklyn, and they were married August 24, 1963, in Shelter Island, NY. Together they raised five daughters, living in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota, and Indiana until they finally retired to Lakeway, TX. Lynn was an unbelievable homemaker, always making whomever came through her door feel like part of the family and special. Up until quite recently, she regularly traveled from Texas to Connecticut or Minnesota to visit her daughters and her 10 grandchildren, who were her world, and she, theirs. She was a constant fixture at her grandchildren's sporting events and loved volunteering in her community.

Lynn is survived by her daughters, Eileen (John) Henke of Austin, TX, Jennifer (John) Gans of Excelsior, MN, Allison McMahon of Clinton, CT, Deirdre McMahon (Michael Headrick) of Minneapolis, MN, Megan McMahon (Mark Cabell) of Old Lyme, CT; grandchildren Sean, Sheila, and Ian Henke, Patrick, Clare, and Thomas Gans, Aidan and Liam Headrick and Ewan and Finn Cabell; her much loved sisters-in-law, Clare Walker, Diana Meehan, and Joann Meehan; dear friends Eileen & Brian McCormack; and brother William Meehan and his wife, Cathy. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Pat, brothers Bob and David Meehan, and parents.

Visitation, with a concluding prayer service, will take place at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 RR 620 S, Lakeway, TX, on Thursday, August 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road, Westlake Hills, TX, on Friday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and calls. Please, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
