Obituary

Luis Alberto (Louie) Ramirez 37 years old passed on to the gates of heaven on August 15, 2018 in the city of Austin, TX. Born in McAllen, TX and graduated from Memorial High School. Right after high school he moved to Austin where he at attended St. Edwards University. He earned a double B.S. degree in psychology and political science.

Luis is survived by his mother Maribel Rodriguez Hedrick and biological father Leonel Ramirez. He is preceded in death by the only man he called "dad" Jesse D. Hedrick, former C.E.O. and owner of Edwards Abstract and Title Company. Also surviving are his step father, Edgardo D. Garcia, maternal grandmother Yolanda Martinez, and aunts Noelia R. Castillo, Migdalia Rodriguez, Nohemi Guerra, Sandy Martinez, Barbara Martinez Pena and uncle Hector Martinez. In addition, he had an abundance of cousins, one in particular whom he had a special connection with was Yovann Rodriguez Salinas.

Although Luis was highly educated from a prestigious University, he chose to be free and follow his dreams and inner Chandra to pursue his goals. He lived a very happy simple life. His passion was music. He made a living by playing music as a D.J. his whole adult life. He worked at several clubs and gigs. He worked at Lanai Club and Kingdom Club for a long time. He also had the pleasure to have worked side by side with well-known international D.J. Christian Barbuto.

Luis always had the best interest in people. He was an extremely positive, loving, and caring individual. He helped and contributed to the homeless. Even if that was his last dollar, he would give it to a person in need. Louie also enjoyed "nature". He liked hiking at Barton Springs Pool and liked to walk around town enjoying the beauty in everything there is.

Additional survivors are his "cosmic siblings" Christian Barbuto, Lacy Shelby, Garrett Boyd, Adrienne Salinas and Yadira (Yaya) Rodriguez. It is an empowerment which strengthens your connection with everyone receiving its energy so that their vibrations rise to a level that connects their soul group.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31st at St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin, TX. Special thanks go out to: Aron L. Pena, Christian Barbuto, family and friends.
