Obituary for Jason C. Marshall

March 6, 1972 - January 15, 2018
Leander, Texas | Age 45

Jason C. Marshall passed away in Leander, TX on January 15, 2018. He was 45 years old and is survived by his loving wife Kathy. They met in Austin in 2000, married a few years later in Banff, Canada and have been together ever since. He was the yin to her yang. They longed for and finally had twin children in 2010, a girl and a boy, Lily and Cole Marshall, whom Jason loved in a way that words cannot do justice.

He was born in Harrisburg, PA to Kay and Mike Marshall. Jason spent most of his formative years with his mom, dad and beloved sisters Nicole Epperson and Erica Marshall, in Hershey, PA where he graduated from Hershey HS. The family spent many summers in Jason's favorite happy place – the family farm in Utica, PA.
Jason continued his schooling at Penn State Technical College, Embry Riddle University and was awarded his MBA from Colorado State.

Jason worked in both sales and finance management roles, principally at Dell and National Instruments in Austin, TX .

He devoted his spare time to his lifelong passions of Badass Motorcross and truck racing where he loved tearing up the track, winning numerous awards along the way.

His devoted nieces and nephew, McKenna, Morgan and Marshall Epperson, also survive Jason.

Jason was a great man. He was authentic, caring, funny and adventurous. He was an amazing husband, son, brother and friend. He was an even better dad to his twins, inspiring them to reach high, to be brave and fearless. Jason encouraged them to ride horses, ATVs and to enjoy the simple pleasures of just playing outside at home or at their family ranch. He taught them the importance of having fun. To quote his twins, "He was the best, most special dad", and he was – unquestionably.

Jason's smile, quick and bone dry wit, his laugh and love of mischief of every kind, not to mention his profoundly good heart and spirit will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

The planet has lost a true treasure.
Tah-tah for now, Jason…
