Obituary for Helen Trenckmann

May 28, 1926 - February 14, 2019
Austin, Texas | Age 92

Surrounded by friends and family, Helen Trenckmann (née Mary Helen Brice) joined her beloved husband Charles in Heaven on February 14, 2019. Helen was born and raised in Dallas, graduated from Highland Park High School and as a proud "Scottie" came to Austin to study business at the University of Texas. She believed in her community and was a dedicated member of Assistance League of Austin, Readers Guild Auxiliary, and the PTA. Helen was a devout Catholic and loved being a parishioner of St. Austin Parish. She walked through life with a caring and compassionate nature whose friendship was open to all. Her love of fresh flowers and her gardens earned her the nickname "The Flower Lady". For all who knew her, unconditional love as well as "Let go… and let God" were the principles she lived by.

She is survived by her children Chip & Cynthia along with her nieces, nephews, and cousins including Susan and Gene Bauer, Dick Flume, Pat and Mary Flume, Terry and Vicki Flume, Michael and Shelley Flume, and Linda Vilbig and Charles "Butch" Boggess.

The family is truly grateful to the St. Austin's community for the warmth and love that made Mass so special for her. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Seton Medical Center ICU and their Palliative Care team who made some difficult days a little easier.

Visitation will be February 20 at 10:00am at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas, followed by a memorial service at 11:00. Graveside service will be at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Donations may be made to St. Austin Catholic Parish or Assistance League of Austin.
