On February 21, 2017, God took our beloved Dad and grandpa home. We were very blessed to have him with us for 92 years. He is the rock that built our family and the glue that held us together, we will forever cherish the values, integrity, wisdom, compassion and love; but especially the memories that he gave us. He flew with the angels, surrounded by his family, to be with his beloved wife, "Winnie", two sons, Franky and David Earl, granddaughter, his parents and siblings.

He is survived by 2 sons; Doyle Penney and wife Stacy of Thrall, Gordon Penney Sr. and wife Rita of Cherokee; 5 daughters; Gwenola Dean and husband Dennis of Kerrville; Gwendolyn Kuempel and husband Claude of Ledbetter, Peggy McClintock and husband Larry of Paige, Pamela Huneycutt and husband David of Round Rock; Abbey Penney of Cherokee; 54 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law; Guy Moffett and wife Joyce of Manor, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 2620 South Congress. Interment will follow in Cook/Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery at 6300 West William Cannon Dr.Pastor Garland Moffett will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Albert Dobbs Jr., Shane Dobbs, Gordon Penney Jr., David Penney Jr., Franky Penney, Zachary Huneycutt, Dakota Dobbs, Adrian Dobbs, Tyler Dobbs, Ethan DelaCruz, Tommy Miles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony McClintock, Elijah Cruz, Anthony Aquirre, Hilario Cruz.

Fellowship and meal will follow interment at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 2201 East 4th St., Taylor, TX.
