Obituary

Floyd Waley, 95, of Leander, Texas, loving husband of Marie, proud father, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy died early Wednesday morning May 30th, 2018, at the Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock. He was born to Mary Jane Glosson and James Robert Waley on October 30th, 1922 in Liberty Hill, Texas. Floyd was a farmer his whole life and worked as a carpenter in Austin until his retirement at age 62.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie Waley (nee Dycus), two sons, Edward and daughter-in-law Cathy, and Marvin and daughter-in-law Sandy, four grandchildren, Wendi, Clay, Sami, and Sally, and four great-grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Merit, and Wilder, along with enumerable friends and relatives. Floyd will be remembered for devotion to his family, the joy he derived from his land and animals, and his lifelong sense of humor.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 2nd, at 9:30 a.m. at the Bagdad Cemetery in Leander located at the corner of Hero Way West and North Bagdad Rd.
