Edwin Terry died in Lakeway, Texas on February 1, 2018. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Terry, his daughter, Tricia Williamson and three grandchildren, Joy Williamson, Keith Williamson and Jade Terry. He is pre-deseased by his son, Ted Terry and his brother, Jerome Terry, Jr.

Edwin Terry was born in Beaumont, Texas on March 12, 1926 to Jerome Terry Sr and Stella Johnson Terry. Edwin graduated from Beaumont High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors in 1949 at the University of Texas.

Edwin Terry, along with his lifelong friend, Mack Fulbright, founded American Real Estate with offices in Beaumont, Pt. Neches, Lumberton, Orange and Austin, Texas. He served as President of American Real Estate Corporation. Edwin was a gifted speaker and educator, and taught Real Estate courses in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia and Montana.

Edwin Terry, MAI, CRE was a Realtor Emeritus and a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. He served as Chairman of the Texas Real Estate Commission, Director of the National Association of Realtors and Advisory Director of the Real Estate Center, Texas A&M University. Edwin Terry was Past President of the Beaumont Board of Realtors, Past President of Sabin Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, Past President of Houston Chapter 33 of the Appraisal Institute and Past Regional VP of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers.

Edwin loved his family and his lively group of friends. He was known for his dry sense of humor. Edwin enjoyed travelling, golfing, boating, fishing and hunting. He had a long and happy life. And he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at the Lakeway Church on Friday, February 9th at 11 a.m. The church is located at 2203 Lakeway Blvd, Lakeway, TX 78734.
