Daisy (MeMe) Marie Holladay went to be with Jesus on March 30, 2018. Daisy was 91 years young and a joy to everyone who knew her. Daisy was a resident of Austin, Texas since 1961 and she was born in Sherman, Texas and raised in Windom, Texas. When she was a child she, her parents and her sister Ella lived with her grandparents. That was a delight for her being she dearly loved her grandparents. Her grandfather worked at the school so she was able to see his smiling face daily. As a child she loved to play jax and she was very good at it. As a youth she loved to roller skate and actually met Bob at the skating rink when he skated up to her and untied her skates and then skated off. Daisy was a big fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team and loved her Bingo. She worked at Levines Department Store on South Congress until 1977. Daisy was wed to Bobby (Bob-Bob) Gene Holladay on July 16, 1950. They were married for 62 years. The two of them lived in the Philippines and Morocco while Bob was in the Air Force. Daisy was a phenomenal, faithful and loving Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt and Friend. Prior to her passing Daisy had a deep personal relationship with Jesus. She spent her evenings watching her Christian shows on television. Her attitude was alway positive and encouraging to everyone. Her prayer was to go in her sleep and that she did. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Holladay, parents Robert and Eunice Dickens and her sister Ella Perry.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Boyce(Steve), son Danny Holladay(Julia) and daughter Cindy Holladay and she had 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Daisy also has one nephew, James Perry who was like a son to her. She also had significant extended family that included; Cris Leal, Leroy Torres and Pam Daggett.

Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Assumption Cemetery.
