Carol Lynn Bazemore, aka "Mama Carol", age 65, of Manchaca, Texas passed away on Thursday January 26th, 2017.
Born at Fort Hood in Killeen, November 26th, 1951 to Thomas and Joyce Capehart. Carol is preDanny "Boy" Bazemore, age 57, of Manchaca, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Carol is preceded in death by both her parents, her sister, Cynthia Hoyt, and her daughter Christy Apple. Carol is survived by her brother Thomas Capehart Jr (Tommy), her sister Jeanette Nelson (Nana), her daughter and son in law, Emery and Veronica Hamilton, her daughter Angel Schobey, her daughter Jourdan Apple, four grand children Kayla & Woodie Hall, Thomas Schobey and Andrew Hamilton and four great grandchildren. Beloved and befriended by all who met her there are many who are called and treated as family, blood or not.
Carol spent her first career at Dan's Hamburgers working as a waitress at the Manchaca Road store until following her dreams and starting her own business. She owned and operated C&D Cleaning until her retirement in 2015. Time off was usually spent enjoying the company of family and friends, crafting with her mother Joyce, playing computer games or indulging her love of shopping. Carol never met a stranger and all who met her felt love! She loved to give whether it be time, a laugh, an uplifting word of advice, or a "Happy Day" gift. A strong woman who supported and encouraged those around her to reach for the stars.
Carol married Danny on Dec 27th, 1975 with her three girls, ages 5, 3, and 16 months at the ceremony. They shared 35 years of love and devotion and their daughters find comfort in that they are together again.
Carol was wonderful mother that her daughters depended upon and looked up to. Her strength, encouragement and frustrating stubborness molded them into the women they are today. Give her a minute of your time and Carol would spend it bragging and beaming about her girls. She gave birth to three daughters but if you gave her another minute she would happily continue speaking of the many who called her "Mama Carol".
Carol was a beautiful woman with a giving heart who will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held at 10am on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Reception immediately following.
