Bobbie Roper Cameron passed away on January 27, 2017 in Austin, Texas at the age of 76. She was born on October 27, 1940 in El Paso, Texas to Samuel E. Roper and Mignon Hanson Roper who preceded her in death.
She graduated from McCallum High School and continued her education at the University of Texas and graduated in 1968 with a B.A. degree in Sociology. Most recently she was employed by National Western Life Insurance. She was a member of St. Richard's Episcopal Church in Round Rock, Texas.
Bobbie enjoyed college football and anything that was connected with the Texas Longhorns. Her most favorite enjoyments were reading poetry, enjoying the beauty of Texas and of the sea. She enjoyed art, theology and most importantly her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cameron Visel and husband Tom; a son Darrell Rainer and wife Jeanine. Sister, Dayle Wilke and husband Danny; a brother Michael Roper and wife Margie. Her six grandchildren, Cameron, Kelson, Avery, Erin, Sammy and Daniel. Nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Herbert Daniel Cameron.
A reception for friends and family will be held at St. Richard's Episcopal Church at a later date in the Spring.
