Arthur Stephen Aubry III was born on July 20, 1947. He was born in Hicksville, New York to his parents, Arthur and Nilda Aubry.
Arthur joined the Air Force on October 21, 1966 as a Medical Services Specialist. He completed his Medical Service Fundamentals in 1967. During his time in the Air Force, Arthur earned his National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and his Air Force Longevity Service Award. He was medically discharged from the Air Force on October 20, 1970.
On June 14, 1972, Arthur enrolled at Florida State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts on June 8, 1974. He worked as a paramedic for the City of Austin, but spent the majority of his adult life doing what he loved as a wonderful photographer. He worked in several photography labs until he ventured out on his own and opened his own photography studio and lab, Shooting Star Photography. One of his proudest moments as a photographer was when he was asked to photograph at the State Capitol for the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry.
Arthur was united in marriage with the love of his life, Lois Ann (Becker) Aubry, on Easter Sunday, April 18, 1976. They enjoyed 28 years of happy marriage, together with their three children, Stephanie, Patrick, and Matthew. Arthur adored Lois and their children.
He enjoyed family trips to the beach, playing golf, fishing, water skiing, and sports. He spent many years coaching Patrick and Matthew in baseball and loved to watch all three children in their kickball, baseball, football, soccer, and basketball games. He loved being a grandpa to his four grandchildren and was always so proud of their academic and athletic abilities.
Arthur is survived by his daughter Stephanie McClerkin and children Kylie, Mikaela, and Ros; son Patrick Aubry and wife, Kelly and son Garrett; son Matthew Aubry; brother Eugene Aubry and wife, Carol; nephew Eugene Aubry Jr and wife, Rebekah and son Burke; nieces Quinn Smith and husband, Geoffrey and children Grey, Aubry, and Jude; Sierra and husband, Sam and daughter Malia.
At the age of 69, the coronation of God's grace rested upon Arthur Stephen Aubry III at the departure of this life on March 11, 2017 in Austin, Texas. Funeral service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2017 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
