Obituary

Ana Blanco Riley was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on April 18, 1925 to Carmen Colón and José Blanco. She served her country as a registered nurse in the U.S. Army where she met and married her husband, Claude C. Riley Jr., M.D.

She died peacefully on July 23, 2017 after much joy and little sorrow in her life. Her husband, her parents, and her brothers and sister preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Steven C. Riley, M.D. and wife, Kris, of Odessa, Texas and Gayle Vickers and husband, Laney, of Austin and by her beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn Riley, Travis Riley, Caroline Vickers, and Riley Vickers. Her sisters, Lydia Gonzales and Francisca Rodriguez, and her nieces and nephews also survive her.

Many thanks to the loving and caring staff at Brookdale Northwest Hills, Brookdale Hospice, Accolade Home Health Care, Nurses Case Management, the staff at Seton ER and on the cardiac floor, and Jaron Winston, M.D. and his staff at Senior Adult Specialty Healthcare.

A private service at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd will be held on a later date.
