Graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1961 with a chemical engineering degree. Graduated Athens College Alabama with an MBA in 1970. Was a registered professional engineer in Alabama.

Served as an elder of congregation at St. Paul Lutheran church, Decatur, Alabama; St. Peter Lutheran church, Afton, MN.; Redeemer Lutheran Church; and elder in Tokyo Central Lutheran Church.

Served as President of the congregation at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Afton, MN., and Redeemer Lutheran Church, Austin, TX.

Taught bible classes for over 40 years at various congregations.

Volunteered at Lutheran Hour Ministries and also served on Advisory Boards at the University of Texas-Mechanical Engineering School and Concordia University–Texas.

Employed by Standard Oil of California from 1961 to 1965 as refinery engineer.

Retired after 35 years from 3M Company.

Proudly served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the 14th Artillery, United States Army in Nurnberg, Germany as a battery commander.

Visitation will be January 17, 2019 at 12 noon with services to follow at 1 pm at
