Bolivia and Connolly- my heart is broken over the loss of your walty- I remember him at Katie's birthday parties when he was just a little boy.
Bolivia- I have wonderful memories of our nursing home visits with your little dogs. I attended the service at Christ episcopal and didn't get a chance to speak with you, but I have made a donation to responsible pet owners organization in walt's memory.

Connally and Bolivia:

I never met or spoke to Walt and had never heard if him until reading of his passing. Although difficult to manage, please feel proud and happy that Walt seemed to touch so many in such a positive way. After reading about Walt, I wished I had the opportunity to have crossed paths with him. There is too much negativity, unhappiness, and unpleasantness in life but Walt seemed committed to living each day with passion, excitement, and to focus on the positive aspects of life. He certainly could not have been like that without the benefits of great family and friends. Condolences to all who held Walt dear, it seems like you are all better for the experience.C

Amazing service yesterday at Flix Brewhouse. Walt was so loved and revered. My thoughts and prayers to Walt's family, friends and loved ones.

Under relationship, I put "friend and co-worker", but with Walt everyone would always be "friend and._______" because he was truly a friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed

You were such a great source of encouragement and knowledge. I could always count on a helping hand and a point in the right direction, usually followed by a witty joke. You will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences for your loss.

Connally, Bolivia, Powell family, & Heather,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I considered Walt to be one of my closest friends. We can take comfort knowing that Walt lived his life to the fullest, and was loved by people around the world. I wish I could be in Texas tomorrow to pay my respects alongside the rest of you. I will never forget him.

Bolivia, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are headed your way through this terrible time.

To say Walt was one of a kind is like saying KISS is a slightly flamboyant band. Walt was, and will always be, a larger-than-life ball of energy with an eye on the future and his heart in the right place. When one met Walt, it was impossible not to at least like the guy; Walt had as many enemies as I have Lamborghinis in my garage.

The mold was not only broken after Walt, it was nuked.

R.I.P., Walt. "Czech" you later...

Bolivia and Connally,

My deepest sympathies over your loss of Walt. He clearly lived a full, albeit all too short life. I hope that your happy memories bring you comfort and that God grants you peace in time to come.

To the Family of Walter Powell Jr., We send you thoughts of comfort. Ecclesiastes 3:12 says, “ I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one's life;” I am sorry for your loss.

Bo and Connally words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you. Take comfort in the joy that Walt brought to you. For me, always remembering him in the ring, barely bigger than the dog, brings smiles to my heart. Take care my friends.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Dear Bolivia and Connelly:
Please know that we are thinking of you during this time in your life. So sorry about Walt! Margo and Joe Klingler

Having served as organist for the wedding of Walt's parents, I also remember when Walt came along how happy and proud they were of him. Mostly I saw him as little boy when he visited his family here in Lufkin. It is always so sad when a life so full and just starting ends without any warnings.

My prayers and condolences to you both, Connally and Bolivia. He rests in the arms of in His presence now. A life so well lived will not be forgotten.

Walt, I always knew where I stood with you! I will miss your car parked in the loading dock, watching us park so as not to be too close to it! Bouncing off the walls and still knowing what was happening in the whole place! You are one of a kind. Very sorry for us who are going to miss you, I can't wait to taste what you brew in Heaven!!!

Walt, my buddy. You left us way too soon. But you packed an entire lifetime into those 33 years. I'll miss you badly.

Bolivia and Connally - What a precious son ! I remember babysitting Walt when he was little and he was such a joy ! I've thought of you all often over the years and kept up with you through my family. I don't know any words that suffice in this time of sorrow. I do know, that God is there, with His arms around you - And His arms will never let go.You will be in my thoughts and prayers for a long time to come.

Walt was for me the greatest boss, a good friend and never missed an opportunity to teach, help out, or hit you with a practical joke. Having the privilege of working with Walt for the last three years, I grew accustomed to making sure of never leaving my email unattended or any food unattended around Walt. I think the best time was when I found a very burning/spicy flavor(Dave's insanity hot sauce) was added to some mild salsa that I turn put on some tacos that I had not initially shared with Walt. I asked Walt repeatedly what he did to my tacos. He ardently argued that he did no such thing to my tacos and he was right. I never thought to ask who messed with my salsa. I'll miss times like this that we have shared along with our several conversations about Indian food and world cuisine and world travels. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Homefield Grill became mine and my husband's Date Night place. Partly because of the beer (ok, a large part), and partly because of the atmosphere. Walt was the atmosphere. He always stopped by our table to shake hands and give a hug.

Not being a beer drinker myself, I was completely ignorant of what was what. Walt never hesitated to answer a question or explain the different nuances of beer.

He was quick with a joke and a smile. He made each person he spoke with feel important.

Walt, you will be greatly missed, and will "lift a pint" in your honor in the years to come.

I still can't believe that you are gone. I will miss you lots. Rest well Walt. See you on the other side. Love you.

Walt, I never had the opportunity to know you as the person you grew to be.. I know I would have liked to have known you . I did however meet you ( sort of) once, but I will never ever forget it. It was the first time I met your mother Bolivia and your father Connally, while showing dogs in Oklahoma.. I later learned that your mother was pregnant with you.( during that meeting) ! Your mother, became a close personal friend to me, who I I will never ever forget! SHe and your father are in my thoughts and prayers right now as my heart is breaking for both of your parents .. I am sure you are in the loving hands of the Lord. Rest in peace.
