Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home North
3125 N Lamar Blvd.
Jennifer Ann Coleman Slatton, born July 14, 1974 in Houston, TX, died suddenly and tragically on October 7, 2011. She was married for 13 years to her late husband, her beloved Clint. She was a devoted mother to William, Emma, Ryan, John, and baby Thomas. She was a writer, ordained minister, La Leche League Leader, and interior designer. She was also a crossword puzzle fanatic, yoga practitioner, had a terrific sense of humor, avid reader, had a substantial thirst for knowledge, and was a woman of faith, helping to guide others in their moments of suffering.
As a teenager, she attended LBJ Science Academy and graduated from Westwood High School. She later earned a BA in Child Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She then married Clint and they had five children together. When Clint was diagnosed with cancer, Jennifer worked tirelessly to find alternative methods to save her husband's life, while continuing to be a wonderful mother to their five children. She was loved by many, inspired hundreds, and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother, Kathy Harris; her sisters, Christy and Kimberly; grandparents, Carol, Francis, and Karin; aunts and uncles, Chris, Karen, Mark, Helen, Elaine, Paul, Therese, Beth, Richard, Marsha and Mary Ann; brother-in-law, Miguel; mother-in-law, Linda Matros; father-in-law, Bill Slatton and his wife, Annette; Clint's aunt, Barbara Jean Vance; and Charles Anderlitch. She will be missed by so many friends in Austin, Texas, as well as those in Gainesville, Florida, and Doyle, Tennessee. We hope that she now knows the impact she had on so many lives and the grief we all have because of our loss.
Memorial services will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar Blvd, in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM.
A memorial service and interment will be held in Doyle, Tennessee (time and date to be determined) where Jennifer will be laid to rest beside her beloved Clint. Additionally, memorial services are being planned within the upcoming weeks in Gainesville, Florida.
