Condolence & Memory Journal

Papa, I'm going to miss my birthday buddy. I think my favorite memory was going to go see Snow Dogs together. Not the best movie but, you made going to see it worth it. It was the first time I got to have a "big kid" cup and I got to pick out my own candy. When it was time to drop me off my parents were gone so, we went back to your house and watched Balto together. Didn't expect you to sit in the toy room with me but, you did. I always made sure you didn't leave my house without a hug and kiss goodnight, I'm glad I was able to give you one last goodnight hug and kiss for the road.

Papa, thank you for all the great memories. I enjoyed getting our hair cut together, and you taking me out for a happy meal or dairy queen as a treat. I remember coming to your house and announcing "I'm here!" before jumping into your arms. You taught me many things the summer I helped you build the sidewalk around the house. I wish we had more time together. I'm glad you're finally at rest. Thank you for leading the family for so long. We will be okay. I love you, and I will miss you. I wear your dog tag proudly.

Dad, I will always love you,it will in my soul for awhile but one day the tears will stop and I will remember everything you taught me from sitting on a chair for hours watching you put to gather TV's and stereo's while you would explain everything about each part. I love you forever dad. May you rest in peace.
