Tribute & Message From The Family

Retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant

Retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant Cecil "Pete" Impson Jr. was called home on November 29th, while surrounded by his loved ones. Pete was an honorable man, a proud one. A great family man that loved until his heart sang; he was loved by many. He spent his lifetime building a legacy of family and love, there was never anything greater. Never was a stranger met or crossed his path; he loved everyone and made friends with so many along the way.

Pete is survived by the love of his life, Juanita; his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; but most especially his beloved companion, Bozo.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at Elmcroft of Austin and Hospice for providing the utmost and personalized care.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 pm.

Internment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Ln, Austin, TX.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of your choice.

Papa's favorite scripture to share was always John 3:16

We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

Our deepest heartfelt Condolences to Juanita, family, and many friends. Cecil was a wonderful friendly neighbor for many years, with always a kind word and a smile for all. We thank him for his service and dedication to our country. We too shall treasure the Constitution hand book he shared with us. We will miss his wit, wisdom, and flower seeds. Cecil and Juanita were also very helpful in setting up the Neighborhood Watch program in Arroyo Doble.
Rest in Peace, dear Cecil. May the Good Lord comfort and look over your family and friends. You, sir, shall be missed.

Our condolences to the family of Pete Impson. We're so sorry for your loss. He was a great help to me when I met him through my Ancestry project. He is the son of my grandfather's sister, Beulah Smith Impson. I'm proud to call him cousin and friend.

When I think of Pete, I think of words like "Sweet Boy", "Family", and "Marriage". He was THE friendliest relative, always good to my mama, and loved to get the family reunions going. He worked so hard to leave us with a legacy of our ancestry. You will be missed greatly. Darla

Pete, now you can ask those family questions that eluded you when doing genealogy as a meer mortal. Every time I add new information to our genealogy, I'll be thinking of you and wish I could call and share the excitement. God be with you young man, our hearts are broken, but we know you are happy and no longer weak from human frailties.

Lots of Love to the Impson family. He was a great man who loved God and Country and I loved that he gave a copy of the constitution and I keep it with me always.
