Tribute & Message From The Family

Samuel "Sam" William Garner left this earthly life September 26, 2018. He will be remembered for the sweetest and gentlest spirit imaginable.

Sam turned sixteen years old on August 23, 2018. He was a fierce lover of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was outspoken in his faith. Sam was an avid guitar player and singer. Some would even describe him as a musical savant. His talents were endless. Sam ran on the high school track team and had the most intelligent and inquisitive mind. His curious spirit led him to investigate topics ranging from quantum physics to the politics of this country and world. He wanted to "Make America Great Again."

Sam is survived by his mother Stacy Putney, husband Dr. Mike Putney, sisters Mattison Garner and Rebekah Putney, and brother Boone Putney. His father Matthew Garner and wife Jessica Garner; grandparents, Sam and Debbie Bookout, Bill and Jeannie Garner, David and Brenda Nelson, and grandma Jean Kirby. His aunts and uncles, Meredith and Mark Powell and Ginger and Kyle Lichlyter; and his cousins, Hannah, Quinten, Autumn, Gabrielle, Ella, Hayden and Macy.

Sam was a loving son, grandson, brother and faithful friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2nd at Hyde Park Baptist Church, 3901 Speedway, Austin.

Hey dude. I love you so very much and wanted to thank you for all the smiles and happy moments you brought to my life. I'm so stoked to see you again and knowing that is the only thing getting me through this. We can pursue your modeling career in another life:) I know we both don't like hp, but it isn't and never will be the same without you.
