Condolence & Memory Journal

It was such a joy to meet and care for Richard. Despite the situation, he and Noel always managed to deliver a smile and place one on my face as well.
I am so extremely sorry for your loss.

I will always remember Richard teaching me about Fika in Swedend. 'That is your second Swedish word' he said.I looked at him. 'After Ikea' he smiled. Great guy always ready to help.
My thoughts are with you today

Sincere condolences to all Richard's family. I only worked with Richard for a short time at CAE in 2012 but I enjoyed his personality and his professionalism and was enriched by his knowledge and experience. He will be missed.

A sad passing of a wonderful man. I worked with Richard for many years in simulation. Maybe getting on for 30. He was always an expert and a friend. Everyone could not help but live him. Rip Richard.

Richard fell in love with Noel and their short time together was inspired. Noel and Richard came to Santa Fe just two years ago and we had a fast cup o coffee and danishes while talking straight away like we had always known him for 2 hours. So young, we hate to let you go, but I am delighted to have shared a little time with this amazing, intelligent, adventurous and adoring man! RIP RICHARD EDWARD COMEY!

Richard was a genuinely wonderful person. He had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humour. I have always had full respect for a man who can mix a good G&T! We met at Rediffusion Simulation in Crawley all those years ago and have remained friends and have always stayed in contact. It was clear how much he loved his life with Noel. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. As us Brits would say, he was a 'diamond geezer' and we will not forget him. Our love and thoughts are especially with Noel at this hugely difficult time.

Noel, so sorry. What a loss and what a devastating last few months. Over time, I hope the joy and love of the first 2 years will override the pain of the last months and, when you think of him, it will be with a smile more often and tears less often. Rely on that Eskew strength I have seen over the years. All my love to you all.

Rest peacefully my lovely cousin.
You are gone from view but never far away xxx

Noel, we know how much he adored you and loved his new life in the USA. We share your loss of a lovely man and, for me, a cousin whose company I have enjoyed over many years. We shall make a donation to your nominated charity, especially as we have seen them in the field and met some of their amazing doctors. We shall raise a glass to Richard on 3 October, here in Crawley.

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.
