"This breaks my heart to see! I was searching online to see if I had somehow missed the passing of Margaret and came across this. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I used to care for Margaret and Ed in Abilene"

"Dear Shirley, I hope you will remember me...I worked for Irvin throughout most of the '80's at Hamilton Properties. I am so very shocked and saddened to see that Irvin has just recently passed away! I have such fond memories of working for him...he was so very kind and he inspired my love for real estate to this day. Both you and Irvin made me feel like my job at Hamilton Properties was like my second home. It has been 30 years, and for some unexplainable strange reason I just googled Irvin out of the blue...only to see this very sad and unexpected news. I am so sorry for your loss Shirley...you, Robert, Paige and Ross are all in my thoughts and prayers."

"Dear Shirley and family - Memories are many, but words are few to express our profound sadness in learning of Irwin's unexpected passing. It is hard to imagine that a friendship that began as nursery mates in church through our college years in Abilene led to such a relationship that has impacted my entire life. That was the kind of man that Irvin was. He truly made a difference in all those he came in contact with. Know that we are praying that God's grace will give you comfort in your loss."

"Shirley, I was shocked to see that Irvin had passed away. You and your family are in my thoughts, in fact I have thought of both you and Irvin often. We should have gotten together somehow. A couple of weeks ago Nancy (I don't remember her maiden name) Jones asked if I remembered meeting her during a campout at the Colorado River. I did not remember at the time, but on reflection I think we and your family had a good time at the Colorado River State Park. I am sure that it was some type of family outing, just don't remember. Also, at Johnny Russell's XO reunion a couple of years ago some of us brought up Irvin and Shirley. That was always what I thought of: Irvin and Shirley. Time seems to fly doesn't it. I am so sorry for our loss and wish you well in the future. Irvin and Shirley always brought a good feeling to me. Larry D. Robertson, 2143 South 10th Street, Abilene, TX 79605"
