"Gayle was a dynamic, generous, loving, and brilliant woman. She was an exceptional community leader and cared so much for others. She and Jim were widely known for their superb cooking skills. We will miss the Irish Whiskey cakes, cheese crisps, and pork roasts, as well as the enthusiasm and joy they both brought to others. Jeane and Glenn Graves, neighbors"
"My deepest sympathy at the loss of a beautiful soul, Gayle Browne, or Miss Moseley as I first knew her as my beloved Kindergarten teacher at Casis School in 1961. Years later I joyfully found her again behind the counter in her antique store at Whit Hanks collective. What joy she gave me as a curious Kinder and how grateful I am to have had her as my first teacher. She was so gentle and kind with long beautiful hair she wore swept up on top of her head. She instilled my love of books, my love of nature and my love of learning. I can still remember her singing to us as we marched in every day from the playground. God speed to this precious woman and peace and comfort to her family."
