"Edna was a steadfast friend of my mother Jo Bennett, and later became my treasured confidant and patient listener when I needed a kind shoulder and savvy advice. We always shared much laughter, as Edna had a keen and droll sense of humor. She was one of the last Old Guard Grand Dames of Austin, who's gracious home and table of delicious foods were shared with us all. What a fine legacy she leaves with her much adored family, as they have been truly blessed by her loving and everlasting spirit. God certainly broke the mold when He made you dear Edna !! "Flip, Ann and Julie:
Will always remember fun times growing up and spending time at the Whitworth's home. Edna put up with
a lot. Always kind and supportive of each of us. So many great memories and your family played a large part. May The Lord be with you.. We celebrate a wonderful life.
Godspeed,"

"Edna Whitworth was a lovely, gracious, and talented woman. I had the great fun of having played poker with her when I was a young married and then again many years later in her poker club. She was an excellent card player with always that gentle and warm smile - - - and the lunches she served were always delicious beyond compare. She truly enriched my life."
