I knew every board, screw and nicks and cuts in those bleachers(stands); and every blade of grass from goal to goal. You ran stands till you thought you couldn't take another step and then you Bear-crawled the field from goal to goal. If you played for him: You could play 2 games back to back and never get winded;

I learned about Coach Neptune during the early part of my coaching career from several associates that I worked with. I was certainly aware of the accomplishments of Coach Neptune and the Westlake athletic community during the last decade or so. I was always impressed with his integrity and character as he and the staff at Westlake interacted with opponents. He ;has left a lasting, positive impression on so many people,young and old alike. My condolences to the Neptune family.
Sincerely,
Stan Mauldin

I worked in the Eanes ISD Administration building in the early 1990's, and Coach Neptune always greeted everyone with a warm and friendly face. God Bless.

I am sorry to hear this news. I know that the pain of loss is overwelming but I know Coach is a much better place. Coach Neptune did alot for the Westlake community. These efforts will be remembered forever. We will miss his jokes and smiling face but we look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

Prayers are being sent to your family.
