Coach Neptune: One fine man and One-of-A-Kind Coach. I played for Coach Neptune in his early years at Sweeny Jr. High. I knew every board, screw and nicks and cuts in those bleachers(stands); and every blade of grass from goal to goal. You ran stands till you thought you couldn't take another step and then you Bear-crawled the field from goal to goal. If you played for him: You could play 2 games back to back and never get winded;

Dear Mary Sue and Family,
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ebbie. He will always be remembered with all his time and efforts spent with our children at Westlake High School. Kenneth and I grew to know Ebbie very well during our tenure as Chap Club Officers and the last being the Chap Club Presidents. Our last year as Presidents of the Chap Club 96/97, Westlake had 7 State Championships and we saw everyone of them front and center

I learned about Coach Neptune during the early part of my coaching career from several associates that I worked with. I was certainly aware of the accomplishments of Coach Neptune and the Westlake athletic community during the last decade or so. I was always impressed with his integrity and character as he and the staff at Westlake interacted with opponents. He ;has left a lasting, positive impression on so many people,young and old alike. My condolences to the Neptune family.

I worked in the Eanes ISD Administration building in the early 1990's, and Coach Neptune always greeted everyone with a warm and friendly face. God Bless.
