Memories & Candles
Janet, Rad, Joyce and others: I am so sorry I was not able to attend Dorothy's service. Although we have not been in contact in many years, I want you all to know that I remember her well as a luminous, positive, lovely person. After many years of living abroad and elsewhere, Sandy and I retired back to Austin and now live downtown in Cambridge Tower. We extend our sincere sympathy for your loss and our best wishes for your well-being.

Dearest Joyce, Janet, Al, Allison, Rob, Elizabeth & George,
"Miss Dorothy" as our family lovingly referred to her, was a very special person in the lives of the Norman family. She first greeted our elderly father when he arrived at Trinity Towers in 2006. She was so very kind to him and wasted no time extending a warm Texas hand of friendship to a poor simple farmer from Illinois. Initially Dad didn't feel he "deserved" such luxury, but Miss Dorothy and

To Dorothy's family,
I had the honor of working with Dorothy in a fine professional organization of REALTORS®. I, as well as many REALTORS® locally, statewide, and nationaly have great respect and admiration for Dorothy and the good work she accomplished for the real estate industry and the city of Austin. Dorothy was a woman who paved the way for other women, including myself, to hold important leadership positions in our industry. Thank you for sharing Dorothy with us. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Rad & Janet....I think of you two as teenages and even younger and regard myself as something of a relic! It was always a good, comfortable experience to work beside Cal at TDA; such a genuine guy. As for Dorothy, what an energetic and really pretty woman! I still miss those happy associations.

Dear Janet. I just wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your dear, dear mother. I've only known her for three years and really just to say hello, receive a hug or laugh over coffee here at Trinity Towers, but I have witnessed your devotion to one another and heard the pride in her voice when she spoke of all of you. My prayers go out to all of you. She will be missed. Lovingly, Irene Gsanger

Mrs. Jones --
I would be visiting you in person instead of sending a note in this impersonal manner but I just read your mother's obituary in the newspaper, it's too late to come by Weed Corley, and I don't have your Corpus address.
Dorothy was a delightful person -- a joy to work with professionally during her tenure as president of ABOR, and a complete pleasure to know as an individual. I'm sure she treasured the opportunity to be near you

Dorothy was a lovely person and a good friend to all. I knew her for over fifty years, and never saw her without a smile and a kind word. She will be greatly missed.

I met Mrs. Wallace in 1998 when I came to the Westgate Building as manager and she was the owner of unit 1106. She was a lovely person and we had many delightful chats over the years. Please accept our deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Dorothy Evans and the staff of the Westgate Building

I will miss Dorothy. She has influenced me for most of my life and still feel a part of the family. I know she will be missed and I know there are plenty of "Mimi" stories yet to be told! Love you all.
