Having known them for a half-century, Phil & I have the very fondest memories of Aline and Clayton both. When Mark as a toddler wandered off at dusk on summer evening, they were among the first people who arrived to help us look for him. Their loyalty to family and willingness to help is a quality that will be sorely missed.

We most especially recall Aline's constant smile and good humor. (The simile she once used to explain the pain of childbirth was fall-on-the-floor-hilarious.)

We were all the better for knowing her.

We had only a short time to get to know one another; however, happy memories of our Sunday dinners will warm my heart for many years to come. I will always be grateful for the kindness and affection shown to me by Mrs. Lyon and her family.

I have many fond memories of visiting your house on Comal and being warmly treated by your Mother. How she and your Dad put up with us running around the store I will never know. And lying up on your roof to watch the boxing matches.

Alina lived a long life, as did my Mother, who also made it to 94. We can be grateful we had them for such a long part of our own lives.

Erin and I send our sympathies. We know losing a parent at any age is a very rough experience.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aline. She was so sweet and so down-to-earth and loved her family and relatives so much. I will never forget thte annual bvarbecue we all went to in June 2001 and she was so glad to see us and we all had a great time! She will always have a very special place in my heart! Heaven has certainly acquired a wonderful angel!
