Dear Margaret

I'm so very sorry to learn just today of your son Eric's passing! Lenora Sappington emailed me this info...couldn't believe I missed from paper, but have had my out of town family here for spring break.

Would you believe one time I called tech support for Time Warner and got Eric on the phone...he identified himself, told me who he was... and I was a bit embarrassed to have the questions that I had, but he confidently answered my questions!

The world is much more empty. I hadn't seen Eric in 15 or so years but I'll never forget his big heart and his genuine love of just about everything under the sun, moon, and stars . . . including the sun, moon, and stars.

Margaret~ I loved reading about your Eric. I think I would have liked him a lot! I am so sorry you now have to learn how to live in this world without him. I am praying for you daily-- that you would find peace and know abundant love.
God bless you, My Friend!

To: Margaret, Mike and Sarah:
We find ourselves speechless at the news about Eric. We have so many, many memories of Eric and Brad laughing and playing games, spending the night and Little League baseball. He was a remarkable young boy and I know he must have become an extraordinary adult. The wonderful stories of how he helped so many others in need does not come as a surprise. He always had a wonderful, caring spirit even in those early years.

Margaret,
I was so sorry to hear about Eric. The memories came flooding back to me of that little blonde head running down the halls of Hyde Park in the afternoon and of his amazing performance in the elementary musical. I was always astounded at his voracious reading. Please know that my prayers are with you and your family. May God bless you and give you comfort.
In Christ,
Nancy Miller

I was so saddened to hear about Eric. He and Trace were such good friends in elementary school. Eric was so smart in kindergarten!!! I remember walking thru the San Antonio Zoo with him. In the aquarium he was reading all the signs, very correctly. People started following us, watching and listening - amazed that someone so small and young could read so well. The only mistake he made was a mispronunciation of the word anemone. I was glad I

Eric, I wish we had just one more evening together, drinking beers and listening to records and making fun of all the dumb things in the news. You were one of my oldest and dearest friends and I'll miss you so much. It had been months since we actually spent time together, but I'll always remember your laugh and your endless generosity. The first time we met, online in 1989, you went out of your way to help me find

I only had the grace of being around Eric a select number of times
but in those few times, his Mass of Gratuity Litarly seemed to spill out at me,
we first met when he was giving me, my girlfriend at the time, and my stepmom a ride to my little sisters first Birthday all the way across town, so he drove from his house to get my mom. all the way to manor, then all the way back to round
