Memories & Candles
My thoughts and prayers are with John and his entire family at this very difficult time. I was blessed with the opportunity to have met John and Karen a couple of years ago prior to Karen's passing. The one thing I absolutely knew about John was how important his family was to him and simply how wonderful of a person he truly is. Thank you John for allowing me the opportunity to share a very brief part of your life

John and I had lunch together last Monday along with some of our other co-workers. Walking back to the office, we talked about our families. He told me how proud he was of his family - how they were the pride of his life. He told me how much he was in love with Janice and how special she was to him. This wasn't the first conversation like this we shared - but happily it is my last memory of him. John will be missed by all of us.

There is no one like John Shockley. We are shocked and sad about his passing. He made things happen that no one else could. His interest in what was going on around him only increased over the years, He was a friend to everyone he knew and to their families. He cared about the important things. We will miss him.

John will be missed greatly. He always had a smile on his face. I'm sure everyone at Ebco will miss the Monday morning donuts, apple fritters, and cinnamon twists. We always knew that if we didn't have breakfast, we could always count on John. I have only known John for 3 years, but I will cherish all the special memories and conversations with him. To all the family, I am so sorry for your loss. May God bless you and help you through this difficult time.

Dear Family of John's..Sooo many fond memories remain as we were in & out of JOhn & Karen's home in Round Rock so many times. There was always a warm welcome & gently spirit in the home. Even though, this is a difficult time, there is strength & comfort in knowing Johns faithful spirit is now at rest with God..with sympathy, NOrma(Henderson) Charboneau

We have such fond memories of how John and Karen "adopted" us as a young family when we first came to Plano over 30 years ago. They showed us genuine care and kindness from the time we first met them and we will always be grateful for their special spirit. We'll always remember many meetings in their home and fellowship together. We mourn John's passing and our thoughts and hearts go out to Janice and the girls along with their families. He was a special man and we'll certainly miss him. May the Lord keep you in His care.
