Millicent Seay Huff Millicent Seay Huff died in Austin on November 25, 2003. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, on July 21, 1933, the daughter of Talbot Shelton Huff, Sr., and Mildred Seay Huff, she lived her entire life in Texas. She was a graduate of Austin High School and earned her undergraduate degree and Master of Arts in history from the University of Texas. In a varied career, she taught English and journalism at San Antonio College, was a reporter for the Port Arthur News, edited textbooks for Steck-Vaughn Company, was editor of Texas Libraries, and worked at Dun & Bradstreet for twenty years before her recent retirement. Survivors include a sister, Jane Lou Huff Caserta of Durham, North Carolina; a brother, Talbot Shelton Huff, Jr., of Huddleston, Virginia; two nieces, Charlotte Huff Claassen of Fort Worth and Portia Jane Huff Wells of Nashville, Tennessee; two nephews, Vincent Talbot Caserta of Durham, North Carolina and John Ernesto Caserta of New Haven, Connecticut; and a great-nephew, Rhys Davies Claassen of Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at 12 noon from the Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge, Alabama, with the Rev. Mack King officiating. Burial will be in the Brundidge City Cemetery with Dillard-Jackson-Bryan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
