Anne, Joan, Wes and all the family. I found out about Ed's passing soon after it happened and we sorely missed him at the USS Concord reunion that happened soon after his passing. We were shocked because in typical Ed fashion - he had played down his illness and we had no idea he was so close to leaving us.

I just learned of this and I am sad and shocked. My deepest condolences to all who loved Ed. I worked with and for Ed at times from 1994 and 2006. He was as good a man as you could know. I'm so sorry I can't go see him again...

I spent many summer days at Ed's house with Anne. So many great, great memories! I am sure we wore him out with our hormonal, teenage girl stupidity. He never showed it though. He seemed to to take it all in stride. Always smiling, full of stories, and jamming reggae. One of the things that has always stayed with me is the way his house smelled.
