Harold Anthony "Tony" Breard
Tony Breard died at the age of 70 on March 14th in Austin, Texas.
Tony was born on June 26, 1941 in Monroe, Louisiana. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1963 and served in the Vietnam War after graduating. He was a retired consultant and lobbyist who enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading, writing poetry, and learning to play the banjo. During his retirement his greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends in the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association of North Texas in Austin during monthly luncheons. He was a very proud grandfather who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in school events, cooking for them and their friends, driving carpool, helping with class projects, and just spending special time with them.
Tony and his wife Beverly were blessed with 15 years together and the joy of blending two families. Their deep love and affection for each other was admired by everyone. Tony was a true gentleman who treated everyone with love, respect, and kindness. His family and friends were truly blessed to know him and spend precious years with him.
Along with his wife Beverly, Tony is survived by his sister Nancy Breard of Spartanburg, South Carolina, brother Michael Breard of Sierra Vista, Arizona, son Nathan Breard and wife Tania Breard of Columbus, Georgia; son Benjamin Breard and wife Caroline Spivack of Denver, Colorado; son Mark Lewis and wife Yvonne Lewis of Houston, Texas; daughter Lori Vinciguerra and husband John Vinciguerra of Austin, Texas,; grandchildren Ben and Hope Gilbert of Austin, Texas, Carli Vinciguerra of Austin, Texas; Alexis and Lauren of Georgia; great-grandson Sebastian of Georgia; nieces Jeny Burrell of Houston, Texas, and Rebecca Blanke of Mattoon, Illinois; nephews Harry Blanke of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Jason Blanke of Puerto Rico; and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Anthony Breard, Sr. and Dorothy Favers Breard as well as his niece Melissa Breard.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Chapel, 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734.
